One of the clubs that Dennis Phillips has played in the past is raising money for charity. The club hosts weekend poker events, during which top poker pros win millions of dollars. Some of the top poker players who have played at this club are Dennis Phillips, who participated in the World Series of Poker 2008 No Limit Texas Hold’em Event, and Darvin Moore, who was the runner up of the World Series of Poker 2009 Main Event.
PHILLIPS WANTS ENDURANCE TO COUNT
Dennis Phillips has said that he wants the endurance to also count as a factor in the poker tournaments. In making the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event final table, Team PokerStars Pro Dennis Phillips had to endure eight 16-hour days on the felt.
He believes anything that requires that kind of endurance has to be considered a sport.
PHILLIPS BEATEN
Dennis Phillips was beaten by a woman in a latest poker tournament. Duke faced one of the toughest roads in the bracket competition, starting off with a win over Andy Bloch. She then defeated 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event runner up Darvin Moon to reach a showdown with the 2007 champion of the Heads Up event, Paul Wasicka. After defeating Paul, Annie dueled against 2007 WSOP Main Event champion Jerry Yang in the Elite Eight.

PHILLIPS A STAR ATTRACTION
Recent success has made Dennis Phillips one of the star poker players to look out for. Poker shows need an everyman who viewers can identify with so they can try to imagine what they would do with pocket jacks against a pro's all-in move on a queen-seven-five board.
WILLIAMS IMPRESSES ON DAY 1
It is rare for new pros to take the table by surprise, but that is what David Williams did on Day 1.
One of the newest Team PokerStars Pros, David Williams is absolutely crushing his table, surging to the top of the chip lead with more than $85,000. Having the chip lead at this point means nothing, but it is a great start for the 2004 main event runner-up.
